MEXICO | 14-03-2014 | Through the ATIK International Relations Committee, we have received the below message of sympathy and solidarity from LICUC Gran Marcha from Mexico with regards to the death of Berkin Elvan who died on 11th March from this injuries of 16th June 2013 during the Gezi Resistance.
He was hit with a teargas canister on his head and had been in coma since then. After 269 days he died on 11th March 2014. Millions to the streets for this funeral but also to protest against the government.
“From Mexico, we want to express our deepest condolence and solidarity to the family of Berkin Elvan, and to the people of Turkey. Please let them know that Berkin will not only be alive in the struggle of the Turkish people, but also in our struggle.
