Long Live May Day; Day Of Unity, Struggle And Solidarity Of The Working Class!

Workers,

1 mayis_engMay Day is the day of unity, struggle and solidarity of the international working class, and we wish hope and strength for all world toilers and people. May Day, the struggle and resistance manifesto of the working class is a glorious and honourable day acquired through immense sacrifices in the struggle for a free, equal and sharing world.

Workers,

Workers, labourers, women and children all around the world are in the midst of a bloody atrocities, especially in Ukraine, North-Africa and the middle-east due to reactionary war policies pursued by the imperialist powers to establish their dominancy, thus creating instability in the region. Innocent people are being savagely murdered by reactionary states and governments who are the lackeys of imperialist powers in the region. Millions of people leave their homes behind to seek better life in Europe but thousands die on the way. More than a thousand people have been drowned in the sea while trying to get to safety.   Imperialist EU is signing agreements with Turkish state close their borders to refugees and deport thousands who have managed to cross the border. Turkish government and imperialist EU are signing dirty bargains.  Turkish government is willing to stop refugees crossing the border in return of 3 billion euros a year. EU countries are instigating hostility towards foreigners. Racism is picking up pace in Europe.

Workers and labourers celebrating Mayday are under the burden of deepening economic crises which started in 2008. Today, unemployment in Europe has risen to 13%. Poverty is on the rise and living standards are degrading day by day. Ruling classes in the EU are putting the burden of the crises on the shoulders of the working class. So they do this by more exploitation of working class, welfare cuts and prevent workers from class collaboration.

Led by Germany, European countries turn a blind eye on Turkish state and attack Turkish and Kurdish revolutionaries and organisations who oppose the system in a democratic means. Recent attacks on Confederation of Workers from Turkey in Europe (ATIK) show that ruling classes cannot tolerate anti-fascist and anti-imperialist democratic organisations. 10 of our comrades has been arrested and awaiting trial under isolation.

Turkish state and the AKP are pursuing an unjust war against the Kurdish nation in Turkey’s Kurdistan. They instigate Turkish people with chauvinism. They attack the rights of workers and make the workers’ pay for their unjust and bloody war on Kurds, democrats and revolutionaries. Ruling classes are trying to design modern slaves who have no right to union, can be called to work whenever wished by the boss and who can be sacked anytime without any compensation. Turkey has become a country where hundreds of workers die during “accidents” and thousands work as contractors with no rights what so ever.  Despite this, workers and labourers in Europe and all around the world go on strike, occupy factories and workplaces show that resistance and struggle of the working class will get stronger.

Workers,

On this Mayday; day of unity, struggle and solidarity of the working class;

We shall say stop to imperialist plunder.

We shall cry for freedom and justice

We shall say stop to racist agenda

We shall demand freedom for all political prisoners

Long Live MaydayWorkers of all lands unite!

ATIK – Confederation of Workers from Turkey in Europe
