ATIK | 20 – 04 – 2009 | NATO was founded on 9th April 1949 within the framework of imperialist Truman Doctrine, a set of principles that prescribes “Socialist countries” should be encircled and destabilized to justify imperialist intervention. NATO is symbolic manifestation of aggression, brutality and barbarism against peoples of the world.
Representatives of member countries of NATO will be celebrating 60th anniversary of NATO on 3rd and 4th April, 2009 with blood of peoples of the world covering their hands. While cutting the anniversary cake which is made of blood of the peoples of Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and former Yugoslavia, and new concepts to make oppressed peoples pay the cost of current economic crises will be developed.
Upon declaration of Truman Doctrine, death squads trained and equipped by Pentagon and CIA embarked on their brutal missions. These death squads perpetrated and continue to perpetrate crime against humanity. None of these barbaric actions have been fully judged. Death squads under names of “Blue Plan” and “Windmills” in France, “Absalon” in Denmark, “Sheepskin” in Greece, “Anti-Communist Networks” in Germany, “Sword” in Belgium, “Honourable Men” in Holland and “Counter Guerrilla” in Turkey were formed right after declaration of NATO. Ex-Nazi officers played a profound role in creating these organizations.
The true reality hides behind “War on Terror” is that NATO is the imperialist warmonger of international counter-revolution. NATO is responsible for thousands of military coups, murder, assassination, torture and terror attacks through its death squads for last 60 years. All these operations and existence of these murder networks filed and came to public in Italy.
NATO, the war machine of imperialism functions as guarantor to seize security, happiness and freedom of peoples whereas Ruling classes live in unlimited prosperity and plunge into dirty power relations. NATO is busy with causing new wars, committing new murders and destroying the future of the world.
What Imperialist bourgeoisie understands from democracy and human rights is becoming much clearer with its commoditisation of education, making more people unemployed and privatization of healthcare policies. While economic crisis hits enormously masses in poverty, imperialism allocates billion dollars to NATO. All these dollars rain over peoples of Iraq and Afghanistan in the form of bombs. Global financial crisis escalates contention for hegemony over markets between imperialist forces. It is also foreseeable that the contradiction between oppressed peoples and imperialism is heating up.

Let us unite and consolidate our forces all over the world to make imperialist bourgeoisie and their puppet regimes pay the cost of economic crisis. By uniting against imperialism, militarism, fascism, racism and all forms of reaction, let us relegate NATO to the dust-bin of history.
