Demonstration in France for the December 19th massacre

PARİS | 20 – 12 – 2009 | In Paris the International Committee For The Solidarity of Political Prisoners, European Solidarity Committee for Free Political Prisoners, Solidarity Committee with Prisoners of Freedom, Democratic Rights Federations- France, BIR- KAR and the Committee for the live of Erol Zavar made a demonstration to commemorate the killed revolutionary prisoners and to condemn the massacre from December 19th-22 2000.

The demonstration started in the evening of December 18th at the Gare de l’Est Post office with a torch march. A big banner with the slogan “We have not and will not forget the prison massacre of the 19th December” and photos of the martyr’s of the 19th December and the death fasting were carried by the demonstrator. Throughout the whole time slogans in Turkish and France were chanted.

The same demonstration took place in Strasbourg at Saint-Denis, the demo started with a minute of silence for the killed revolutionary prisoners and after that a statement in Turkish and French was read. Also the case of Alaattin Karadag a revolutionary activist who was killed on November 19th through extra judicial killing was mentioned and his murder condiment. The demo ended with the slogan “Long Live International Solidarity”!
