THE WAR OF THE RULERS IS DESTRUCTION;

LET’S RAISE THE STRUGGLE AGAINST DESTRUCTION!

Due to the anniversary of the 2nd Imperialist Sharing War, which started with Germany’s invasion of Poland, 1 September has started to be celebrated as “World Peace Day”. These wars of aggression, in which the rulers both cause and play the victim, bring destruction on the front of the oppressed. After the wars caused by the imperialist/capitalist system, it again screams for peace with numerous institutions created by itself. We need to know that real peace will come with revolutionary wars against the owners of reaction and tyranny in the world.

Our Earth is again in the grip of redistribution!

The regional wars that have been taking place in the Middle East for a long time have now reached the borders of Europe. As a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, EU states are taking sides and increasing their military aid to Ukraine day by day. This process, supported by the USA, has brought NATO back on the stage as the main actor, whose manoeuvre space and capability has shrunk by claiming that it has no “counter pole”. On the one hand, imperialism, which screams for “peace” on the other hand, causes the death of thousands of people and the displacement of millions of people from their homes both in the Middle East and in the process of occupation of Russia. Like all reactionary states, the fascist Turkish Republic, which makes “peace” rhetoric, continues its massacres against the Kurds through Rojava. By using chemical weapons recently, it also shows its owners how “peace-loving” it is. While thousands of people lose their lives because of the wars and coups in North Africa, the imperialists are positioned in accordance with the quarrel among themselves and each imperialist union takes sides according to their state interests. Thus, the imperialists, aiming to develop their spheres of division and influence among themselves, make millions of people refugees in addition to deaths.

Imperialist wars and occupations drive the masses into poverty.

The rulers, who are trying to overcome the fact that the crisis phenomenon is becoming more and more frequent with wars and occupations, are impoverishing the peoples of the world more and more with the economic policies they implement. In particular, the fact that land-based production has come to a standstill under occupation, the unrestrained use of underground resources, the great damages caused by the greed for profit against nature, and the uncontrolled industrial production that causes climate change continue to cause poverty and hunger. According to the 2023 bulletin of the Global Multidimensional Poverty Index (GMPI), 1.1 billion (just over 18 per cent) of 6.1 billion people in 110 countries live in severe multidimensional poverty. Five out of every six poor people are in sub-Saharan Africa (534 million) and South Asia (389 million). Around 2.5 billion people are forced to continue living below the poverty line. The German social welfare organisation Paritätische Gesamtverband has defined “underemployment” and stated that 14,100,000,000 people in Germany, where 84 million people live, are below the poverty line. The organisation had previously announced this figure as 13 million 800 thousand. In France, more than 5 million people live below the poverty line and this number is constantly increasing. It is stated that 17 per cent of the total population living in the EU states is also below the poverty line.

Continuous Action Against Imperialist Occupations, Wars and Policies!

The system responsible for wars and occupations has no peace to give to the peoples of the world. As ATIK, we call on the native and immigrant democratic forces in Europe on 1 September to unite against war and poverty and to increase the common struggle on the streets!
