PAKISTAN | 27 – 11 – 2010 | Workers/peoples of Pakistan want peace & democracy, which require action of working class.

All Pakistan Trade Union Federation is trade union center, which exists in an organized in all parts of Pakistan.

We the members of APTUF,

From Punjab.

From Khyber Pakhtoon-kwa

From SIND

From Baluchistan.

They speak different languages, different culture

But they all are the members of the same trade union

They all share common and same main demands

• They want to keep their jobs and not be unemployed
• They want just wages RS.15, 000
• They want respect of their rights as workers as human which means first of all their right to organize, formation of unions, whatever their trade union right to strike and collective bargaining
• They want to abolish anti workers laws, bonded and child labor
• Safety measures and security of people and their jobs

Whatever the language, region, culture, they are all united in APTUF around these demands.

These demands the workers, but also farmers, women, youth and other professional.

What do we see happening today in our country?

A terrible flooding has devasted most of the country. More than 20 million people affected.10 million people have left their houses and more than 3 million living in camps where is lack of food, water and shelter.

Although the peoples of Pakistan are also facing disruption and war, severe terrorists attack, violations of laws.

As in between year 2001 & 2009 nearly 10,000 bomb blasts occurred, more than 9000 civilians killed and thousands of inured including women and children.

War on the name of terror cost RS.768 billion actually, Pakistan is in the condition of war.

The war inside Pakistan and that violence threatens the country with dislocation.

In a country devastated by the flood, threatened by hunger where 5 million children are close to death and bombing, missiles strikes have been increasing especially in the north of the country.

The IMF World Bank using this disastrous situation to blackmail Pakistan so to impose so called “REFORMS” which would triggered control increase in prices of basic commodities and electricity, and which will indo the workers right.

Today already there is in fact no more national labor laws, the laws differ from province or province. The APTUF strongly defence the needs of a National Labour Laws.

We the members of APTUF are preparing the National Congress of our federation which is going to be held on December 28, 2010 Lahore, Punjab.

APTUF with great concern take note of the fact that war waged in Afghanistan spread into Pakistan under the American Imperialism command.

Daily violated the integrity of Pakistan territory Pakistani man, women, children are killed by the terrorists and NATO forces

We repeat, the people of all over the Pakistan are able to peacefully overcome the problems they confront but a prerequisite is the end of all foreign intervention in the state affair, and of all military aggression.

Because of violence and war, great majority of people suffer, which is intolerable:

• Thousands factories have closed down and millions of workers job less
• Inflation is running at 300 percent. It becomes impossible for more and more families to bur basic necessities of lives
• Electricity is shut down most of the days all over the country including main towns
• It is no longer safe to go work, to go for walk, to go to market and home
• Instead of stepping up armaments expenditures and building up military operations, it is those problems that should be faced.

To resolve the problems, the people of Pakistan want peace

That is why the APTUF congress, convinced that it is acting as responsible trade union for the good of its members, of the working class will welcome all those who want to act on common:

No to War! Peace In Pakistan! No to foreign Intervention!

The workers and people of Pakistan want peace  & democracy, which require the action of working class.
