Statement to the International Democratic Public

YETİŞ YALNIZ, WILL LIVE ON IN OUR STRUGGLE FOR DEMOCRACY, FREEDOM AND EQUALITY AS A NEW SOURCE OF INSPIRATION!

Today is 8th May, the day when the capitulation of the Hitler fascism was announced. On one hand, we are living the joy of this historic and honourable victory. However, on this same day, we learned that our former ENILKOM (International Relations Committee) activist Yetiş Yalnız and 11 of his comrades were martyred exhibiting a resistance worthy of Partisans. This battle and resistance occurred during an operation by the genocidal and fascist Turkish army in DERSİM-ALİBOGAZI district on 24-28 November 2016.

The names of the Partisans who were martyred during this resistance are:

YETİŞ YALNIZ (Born 1980), ESRİN GÜNGÖR (Born 1995), HATAYİ BALCI (Born 1994), YETİŞ YALNIZ (Born 1980), ESRİN GÜNGÖR (Born 1995), HATAYİ BALCI (Born 1994), GAMZE GÜLKAYA (Born 1995), SERKAN LAMBA (Born 1985), HASAN KARAKOC (Born 1980), UMUT POLAT (Born 1993), SAMET TOSUN (Born 1996), ALİCAN BULUT (Born 1992) MURAT MUT (Born 1993) ERSİN EREL (Born 1993), DOĞUŞ FIRAT (Born 1998)

Comrade YETİŞ YALNIZ has been an active activist of the International Relations Committee (ENILKOM), a committee active under the umbrella of ATIK and has successfully taken on responsibilities till 2010 during the years he lived in Europe.  Comrade Yetiş Yalnız (Ahmet), besides his artisan and cultural multi-talents, was noticed with his self-sacrificing, disciplined, determined, political and practical leadership character. During the years he lived in France, he exhibited a stance worthy of him and our struggle, whilst in the conditions of political imprisonment that was orchestrated by the French imperialist in collaboration with the Turkish State.

We will strive to share with all the resolve and determination and the exemplary character of Yetiş Yalnız in the long years of our anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist, anti-fascist, anti-chauvinistic, anti-patriarchy struggle in Europe.

We know that revolutionaries can be imprisoned, but the thought of revolutionary struggle is free in all circumstances!

We know that revolutionaries can be killed, but every time our revolutionary passion is resurrected!  However, as the famous German poet and writer said; “Knowing is not enough, we must apply; Willing is not enough; we must do”.

We will never cease to be inspired by those who knowingly and in practice forming an example to fight against imperialism and fascism like partisans such as Yetiş Yalnız and his 11 comrades!

Because we; refuse the exploitation of humans by humans!
Because we; do not accept the exploitation of labour by the forces of capital and power!
Because we; will never accept any nation repressing other nations and indigenous peoples!
Because we; do not allow capitalists blinded with profit to continue to plunder nature!
Because we; want to destroy the gender restriction against women and female labour by the malevolent male dominant mentality and powers!
Because we; deny the migrants’personal and human rights to be violated by social-chauvinist policies!
Because we; renounce collectively imperialism, capitalism, fascism, racism, plunder and patriarchy, we fight with determination to create a free world with social justice without these!

Revolutionary struggle is legitimate everywhere and in every circumstance!  Long live proletarian internationalism and the brotherhood of peoples!  Revolutionaries die, but the caravan of the revolution will go on with many new passengers! Our struggle for democracy, equality and freedom can be sustained under all circumstances, it will continue again and again and life on exemplary!
